Waterpark Simulator Staff Index

Compare Waterpark Simulator staff roles, job purpose, unlock evidence, quitting rules, star-staff reports, and the checks to run when an employee is idle.

The Waterpark Simulator staff system combines ordinary operational jobs, specialist 1.0 roles, and rarer named workers commonly called star staff by players. This index explains what each verified role is for and marks uncertain community data instead of turning old wages or trait values into fixed facts.

Use the live hiring panel for price, salary, statistics, and availability. Those values are version-sensitive and candidate-specific. Use Staff Management for workload and assignment decisions.

Star staff and named candidates

Pre-1.0 community guides list named candidates such as Caylus, Hugo, Travis, Patrik, Calum, and Sophia as star staff. More recent player discussions also mention Caylus, Dima, and Papa Hugo. The names are useful search anchors, but the available public material conflicts on the roster and on wages or statistics.

Treat a named worker’s live hiring card as the authority. Record the candidate name, role, rarity marker, traits, statistics, wage, game version, and difficulty before comparing. Do not assume two similarly named candidates are identical across localization or patches, and do not plan a park budget around an old screenshot.

This index deliberately leaves star-staff rarity tiers, exact effects, and appearance conditions unfilled until they can be checked inside 1.0.50. That is better than publishing a polished but wrong ranking.

Staff quitting rules in current patches

Staff quitting changed after launch. Version 1.0.43 fixed several quitting and notification issues. Version 1.0.48 then established two important controls:

  • Staff should not quit on Easy or Sandbox difficulty.
  • Accessibility settings can disable Staff Quitting entirely.

If an employee still quits under one of those conditions, record that the save is running public version 1.0.50, capture the difficulty and accessibility screen, and preserve the save before reporting it. On Normal or Hard without the accessibility toggle, quitting remains an intended management pressure rather than automatically a bug.

Do not assume salary is the only factor. Work assignment, reachable tasks, park conditions, and other live indicators matter. Read the employee panel and current notification instead of applying a universal threshold from an old guide.

Diagnose an idle employee

Use a controlled check:

  1. Confirm the staff member’s role matches the task.
  2. Confirm an eligible workplace or service area is open.
  3. Trace a walkable route without a locked door, missing floor, or unreachable object.
  4. Verify that the task actually exists and has not already been claimed by another worker.
  5. Inspect any assignment, area, supply, or shift setting visible in the current UI.
  6. Let the simulation run long enough for the worker to finish the current action.
  7. Reproduce once on the current 1.0.50 branch before moving or rehiring everyone.

For a Vendor or Ticket Master, check that the business is open and accessible. For a Restocker, check both the supply source and destination route. For a Cleaner or Maintenance worker, leave one known eligible task and observe the response. For a Lifeguard or Security worker, confirm that the relevant zone or event is active.

Hire for demand, not for a fixed ratio

There is no reliable official “one worker per X guests” table. Start with the actual queue, dirty area, repair backlog, empty stock, or uncovered safety zone. Hire or reassign one worker, then watch whether the backlog shrinks over a full operating period.

Separate route length from worker quality. A highly rated candidate can still look ineffective if placed across the park from the work. Place supply and service functions near their demand, keep paths simple, and avoid assigning one employee to incompatible corners.

Budget for the ongoing wage, not just the hiring moment. Easy mode officially reduces salaries relative to the classic balance, while Hard increases other operating pressure. Read the current candidate cost in the selected difficulty.

Staff answers

Which staff roles are confirmed?

The established operational roles are Ticket Master, Cleaner, Maintenance, Lifeguard, Restocker, and Vendor. Full release also officially added Security and Mascots.

Who is the best star staff member?

No current official stat table establishes a universal best candidate. Compare the live role, traits, statistics, and wage for your park’s actual bottleneck.

Can staff quit on Easy or Sandbox?

Version 1.0.48 says staff will not quit on Easy and Sandbox. Staff quitting can also be disabled in Accessibility settings.

Why does a staff member do nothing?

The common causes are a role mismatch, closed or incompatible workplace, unreachable path, missing supply, no eligible task, or assignment settings. Test one known task before calling it a bug.
