Waterpark Simulator Roadmap

Track Waterpark Simulator's developer-announced 1.1 lazy river separately from released 1.0 features and uncommitted poll options.

Waterpark Simulator’s verified roadmap has one clear post-1.0 commitment in the sources checked on August 2, 2026: CayPlay said the community vote led it to guarantee a lazy river mechanic for update 1.1. That is a roadmap commitment, not a released 1.0 feature.

The latest official release item remained the July 31 version 1.0 launch. Until CayPlay publishes a later release post confirming 1.1 is live, guides must label the lazy river as planned.

Confirmed for the 1.1 plan

In its July 4 announcement, CayPlay explained that a previous player poll had a large majority asking the studio to prioritize the lazy river. The developer said this meant the 1.1 update would feature the lazy river mechanic and that design brainstorming had begun.

The statement confirms planned inclusion and target semantic version. It does not publish a release date, construction method, research requirement, price, capacity, map restriction, or final appearance.

Do not create a build guide or optimization table before the mechanic appears in a public release and its current interface can be tested.

Housing upgrades and pets were not committed to 1.1

CayPlay named housing upgrades and pets as other options the studio would still like to add later, but explicitly said it could not commit them to 1.1. They belong in an uncommitted ideas section, not the confirmed 1.1 list.

Avoid turning a losing poll option into a canceled feature. The developer said the other options were not gone forever. The accurate status is desired for possible future work, with no committed version in the checked source.

This distinction allows the roadmap to change without falsely reporting either release or cancellation.

A later poll asked about future themes

The July 4 post also described a new in-game poll about a preferred theme for future content. CayPlay explained that its themes normally include slides, pools, decorations, and more.

The audited evidence did not establish a final winner or release version for that theme poll. Record the poll as community planning, not as a shipped theme or guaranteed 1.1 package.

Aztec, Sea, and Pirate are different: they were released with 1.0 and belong in the 1.0 launch notes, not the future roadmap.

Keep released and planned states separate

Use three statuses:

  • Released requires a developer-authored release or patch post that says the feature is available on the public branch.
  • Committed or planned requires a clear CayPlay statement naming future intent or version, but no release confirmation.
  • Uncommitted idea or poll option records interest without promising delivery.

The lazy river is planned for 1.1. Housing upgrades and pets are uncommitted. The three launch themes, multiplayer, Beach, Museum, custom slides, weather, and night are released in 1.0.

Preview screenshots should remain previews until the final patch confirms them. CayPlay repeatedly warned that in-development features could change.

Do not use BuildIDs as version labels

The audit could not safely establish the current default-branch BuildID because the accessible third-party snapshot predated the 1.0 launch. A BuildID is not a semantic roadmap version.

Use CayPlay’s labels such as 1.0 and 1.1. When 1.1 eventually appears, confirm its release through the official news feed and current Steam metadata rather than matching an old depot number.

Historical branch names and mod versions must remain separate as well.

Recheck before answering “is it out?”

Open the official Steam news feed and compare the latest developer post with the current store description. Look for explicit release wording, date, semantic version, and platform scope.

If no post says 1.1 or the lazy river is available, answer that it was developer-confirmed for the 1.1 plan but had not been verified as released at the last check. Include the check date.

Do not rely on search snippets, community videos, beta access, or modded lazy-river builds as public release evidence.

Maintain affected guides after release

When a release post confirms the lazy river, update this page’s state first. Then test construction controls, connections, guest access, safety, maintenance, map availability, research, cost, and multiplayer behavior on the public branch.

Link the released update to Building, Management, Progression, Multiplayer, and Troubleshooting only where the tested mechanic changes those answers. Preserve the pre-release commitment as dated history.
