Start with the guest journey

Before drawing the pool, trace how a visitor reaches the zone from the entrance. The route should connect to the rest of the park without forcing every guest through a single service point. Leave enough working space around the intended pool edge for entry, exit, observation, and later additions.

Place a simple pool first and open it only after verifying that guests can approach and use it. Watch several complete visits. If people gather without entering, inspect the edge, connected path, and any object that may block access. If they enter but struggle to leave or create a dense queue, change the route before expanding the basin.

Treat access as a test, not a visual assumption. Decorative gaps and service clearance can look obvious from the building camera but behave differently once guests arrive.

Pair slides with readable landing space

Keep landing and exit areas readable from your normal patrol route. If multiple attractions deliver guests into the same area, introduce them one at a time and observe flow after each opening. This isolates which slide or path caused congestion.

The official 1.0 material confirms modular custom slides, but it does not provide safe geometry measurements. Avoid publishing an angle, depth, or speed rule without a live controlled test.

Design for safety response

The game explicitly includes drowning incidents and player rescues. Position pools so you can scan the water and reach the relevant edge quickly. Buildings, tall decorations, or tightly packed attractions can reduce visibility even when they do not block the technical path.

Walk the full perimeter in first person before opening. Note blind corners and how long it takes to reach the opposite side. A small pool with a clear edge may be easier to operate than a large pool divided by scenery.

As the park grows, decide who covers the zone and how the operator reaches it when another task is active. The audit does not establish an automatic safety radius or a universal staff coverage rule, so confirm behavior in the current save rather than drawing invisible circles from an old guide.

Leave a cleaning and repair route

Waterpark Simulator asks the operator to clean visitor mess and pool contamination. A pool zone therefore needs a service loop, not only a guest path. Make sure you can move around the edge, identify contamination, and reach nearby slides or amenities that may break.

Avoid placing dense decoration over every open tile. Reserve a clear route connecting the pool, slide endpoints, food or amenity areas, and the nearest main path. Run that route yourself during an operating day and time whether it is practical.

If the area becomes dirty faster than you can service it, do not immediately assume the pool is defective. Guest volume, food placement, route length, and staff assignment can all contribute. Change one factor and watch the next operating cycle.

Add amenities after observing demand

Pools draw visitors, which can expose food, seating, or other guest needs nearby. Open the attraction first, then read guest behavior and complaints before installing a complete service district. Premature amenities cost money and can add their own queues or staffing needs.

Expand in reversible stages

Save before changing a working pool district. Add one connection, slide, or adjacent pool, then verify access and operation. A staged build is easier to diagnose and cheaper to undo than one large opening.

For comparisons, keep screenshots from the same camera angle and record the game version, map, difficulty, and date. City and Beach have different spatial contexts, and the 1.0 announcement says Beach requires a new park rather than a transferred layout.

Use a pool opening checklist

Before admitting guests, confirm a connected approach, usable pool access, readable slide endpoints, a walkable perimeter, clear water visibility, and a service route. Keep cash available for corrections. Open the zone, follow real visitors, perform one complete cleaning and safety patrol, and only then add the next attraction.
