Waterpark Simulator progression begins with a functional park and ends with broader choices, not a single experience bar. The public achievement list confirms the tutorial, one through five-star prestige, research completion, expansion milestones, map-specific prestige, and diamond prestige. Version 1.0 adds the Museum’s three questlines, three currencies, Aztec/Sea/Pirate research trees, massive themed slides, an optional Mafia mini questline, and new City and Beach goals.

Progress by removing the next visible constraint. Stabilize the park, improve the weakest rating input, unlock useful research, and finish a coherent branch before scattering resources. Exact 1.0 thresholds, research costs, quest tasks, and currency names are not published here because the official sources reviewed do not provide a complete live table.

Use prestige as a readiness signal

Steam currently lists achievements for reaching one, two, three, four, and five-star park prestige on Normal or Hard difficulty. It also lists Above the Stars for reaching Diamond Star prestige. Those milestones establish the progression ladder.

Official store copy connects the park rating with cleanliness, fun, food, amenities, and guest happiness. When a star stalls, inspect those systems separately. More decorations cannot compensate for an unreachable attraction, an unserved crowd, persistent dirt, or unresolved breakdowns.

Build a stable operating loop before pushing the next milestone. A park that briefly reaches a rating while cash and maintenance collapse is not ready for a large expansion or expensive research choice.

Do not copy a precise star threshold from a pre-1.0 guide. The audit records older community questions as demand evidence, not current values.

Treat research as a dependency choice

Research should solve a park need or advance a chosen theme. Steam’s Nothing Left to Learn achievement confirms that unlocking all research is a completion goal, but the order is still a decision.

Read the current 1.0 research node before spending. Note its prerequisite, currency, cost, and effect exactly as displayed. Older developer discussion replies about activity XP and research points predate 1.0 and remain historical until retested.

Prioritize a node whose result you can use now: a service the park lacks, an attraction that completes a district, staff coverage needed for growth, or the next node in a theme you intend to finish. Avoid unlocking several unrelated objects that cannot yet be placed or operated.

After buying a node, use or test the result before moving on. Progression is stronger when an unlock changes the park rather than only increasing a collection count.

Enter the Museum with a branch goal

The Museum guide records the verified structure. CayPlay says the Museum contains three NPCs, each with a dedicated questline and its own special currency. Those three currencies feed research trees for Aztec, Sea, and Pirate themes, and each branch ends in a massive slide.

Choose one theme based on the district you want to build. Open the current quest and research screens, match the visible currency to the visible branch, and complete a usable sequence. Do not assume the three lines share progress or that one currency can buy another theme.

The official 1.0 post did not publish NPC names, currency names, exact tasks, costs, or branch choices. A safe progression guide leaves those fields to the live build until they are captured.

Keep theme progression connected to construction

Aztec, Sea, and Pirate are released 1.0 themes. CayPlay’s previews describe Ocean pools with coral and marine styling, Aztec pools with carved stone, and Pirate pools with a rugged high-seas look. Theme research adds building items and culminates in a large slide.

Finish a district in stages. Unlock a small set of compatible pieces, build a functional route, supply its guest services, then continue the branch. Unlocking the final slide before reserving space and operating cash can create a reward the park cannot use.

Treat the theme as visual and construction progression unless a live node explicitly states a gameplay effect. Promotional descriptions do not establish hidden bonuses.

Plan map-specific milestones

Version 1.0 adds a Beach map that requires a new park, and CayPlay says layouts are not transferable. Steam achievements separately recognize opening Beach, reaching three and five stars on Beach, and reaching three and five stars on City.

That means map completion is separate work. Use the operating lessons from one map, but do not expect a blueprint or star state to move to the other. Back up a valued save before beginning a major second project.

Steam also tracks expansion at one, three, and maximum levels. Expand to support the next district or service need, not just to tick a counter. Each new area increases travel and management surface.

Understand the Mafia choice boundary

CayPlay describes the Mafia as an optional 1.0 questline involving dubious loans. A preview adds that the player can refuse, while accepting quick cash begins a mini questline whose remaining details were intentionally withheld.

That establishes an actual choice but not the interest rate, repayment terms, task sequence, branches, or ending. Do not use invented numbers to decide. Save normally, read the current offer, and decide whether immediate capital is worth entering content whose consequences you have not yet seen.

Keep Mafia progression separate from Museum theme progression unless the current game explicitly links them. They are described as different systems in the official material.

Build an achievement-aware route without grinding blindly

The public achievement list reveals several progression families: prestige, revenue and spending, visitor counts, cleaning and repair totals, expansion, research, Yogi quests, map goals, Security, custom slides, and diamond rating.

Use cumulative achievements as by-products of a functioning park. Cleaning 1,000 trash items or repairing 500 attractions will advance through normal operation. Forcing mess or breakdowns can damage the park and is not necessary for early progression.

Some achievements specify Normal or Hard difficulty, while newer 1.0 entries may not repeat that phrase. Read the live Steam description before choosing a save. The achievement checklist preserves the current public wording.

Recover from a stalled progression path

If prestige stalls, inspect rating inputs rather than buying random research. If research stalls, identify the exact current currency or prerequisite. If a Museum quest stalls, follow its displayed objective and avoid substituting a pre-release task list.

If expansion creates falling service quality, pause growth and extend staff and amenities. If a new theme remains unused, finish a small functioning zone before unlocking more items.

If an achievement does not advance, confirm the required difficulty and action in Steam’s current description, then reproduce once without mods. Do not corrupt a save by manually editing counters.

Progression answers

What is the main 1.0 end goal?

Official store copy and Steam achievements identify diamond prestige beyond the five-star ladder. The game also supports research and map-specific completion goals.

How many Museum questlines are there?

Three, each from a separate NPC and each with its own currency according to CayPlay’s 1.0 notes.

Which themes are attached to Museum research?

Aztec, Sea, and Pirate. Each branch ends in a massive slide.

Is the Mafia required?

The developer calls it optional and says the loan can be refused.

Can Beach use my City layout?

No. The official 1.0 notes say Beach requires a new park and layouts are not transferable.
