Waterpark Simulator Stars and Diamond Rating Guide

Progress from one-star prestige through five stars and Diamond Star by improving an observable Waterpark Simulator park instead of chasing stale thresholds.

Waterpark Simulator progression includes one-star through five-star park prestige and a Diamond Star milestone. Steam’s current achievement descriptions confirm each star step, a separate five-star achievement on Hard, and the Diamond Star target. They do not expose a complete 1.0 rating formula.

The practical route is to improve the park systems you can observe: usable attractions, guest access and service, cleanliness, safety, maintenance, staffing, research, and staged expansion. Avoid copying an exact threshold from an Early Access video unless the public 1.0 interface confirms it.

Establish the current rating state

Open the live prestige or park-rating interface and record what it calls the current level. Capture any categories or feedback it displays. Use those visible labels as your checklist rather than inventing hidden weights.

Write down difficulty, map, game version, and date. Public achievements specify Normal or Hard for the one- through five-star steps, while Diamond Star’s public wording does not add that phrase. Preserve the original eligibility text instead of silently applying one rule to every goal.

Start from a stable save backup. Large changes made only to force a rating can be difficult to reverse.

Fix access before adding value

A park cannot benefit from an attraction guests do not use. Follow several complete visits from entrance to destination and back toward services. Check path connections, queues, pool access, and slide endpoints.

If a guest repeatedly fails at an early step, repair that route before building another attraction. The layout guide shows how to separate through-traffic from destination queues.

Recheck the rating after one meaningful fix. A small access correction provides clearer evidence than a district-sized rebuild.

Stabilize the operating loop

Walk the entrance, food, pool, slide, cleaning, repair, and safety route. Resolve recurring breakdowns and dirty zones. Assign staff only where a documented workload repeats.

Prestige progress should not require letting basic operation collapse. Even if a new attraction can add park value, opening it without service coverage creates more complaints and maintenance.

Use the guest needs guide to convert visible feedback into checks. Keep exact happiness values out of the plan unless the live build shows them.

Expand in star-sized steps

Steam’s achievement list confirms expansion milestones: expanding once, three times, and to the maximum level on Normal or Hard. Expansion and prestige are related parts of progression, but the public descriptions do not prove a single automatic conversion between them.

Before buying space, decide what the area will contain and how it connects to the service loop. Open one destination, observe it, then fill the supporting needs. An empty expansion can lengthen travel without improving the park.

Preserve an operating reserve. The money guide provides a context-labeled ledger for evaluating whether growth is sustainable.

Use research as a dependency, not a shortcut

Research unlocks more options and the achievement list includes unlocking all research. Older developer replies described a star-gated research system, but their exact thresholds and activity conversion belong to an earlier build and should not be advertised as current 1.0 values.

Read the present research screen whenever the star level changes. Choose an unlock that solves a real park need or supports the next planned zone. The research guide explains how to document prerequisites without guessing.

Museum questlines and the Aztec, Sea, and Pirate branches add another progression layer. Keep quest currency and park prestige observations separate unless the current interface explicitly connects them.

Approach five stars with a gap audit

When progress slows, pause construction and audit categories instead of repeating random purchases. Check attraction variety and usability, guest journey failures, staffing, cleanliness, repairs, safety, research, and unopened space.

Change the weakest verified category, run a complete period, and inspect the rating again. Record both changes and non-changes. A failed hypothesis is useful because it prevents repeating the same expensive action.

For the Hard-specific five-star achievement, begin and maintain a clearly labeled Hard save. Do not assume a park converted from another mode remains eligible; the audit did not verify mode conversion behavior.

Treat Diamond Star as a separate final test

Steam lists Above the Stars for reaching Diamond Star park prestige. The concise description does not publish the conditions beyond that status. After five stars, follow the current game’s displayed progress and continue improving documented gaps.

Do not invent a required cash balance, visitor count, attraction number, or hidden quest. If the interface does not explain stalled progress, preserve the save and compare only current-version evidence.

Achievement completion percentages change continuously and should not be used as a threshold. The progression achievements page keeps the public names and eligibility wording organized.

Verify each milestone cleanly

When a star changes, save a screenshot of the rating panel and note the action immediately preceding it. One action may have completed progress accumulated by many systems, so avoid claiming it was the sole cause.

Continue operating long enough to confirm the park remains stable. Sustainable prestige is more useful than a temporary rating reached by exhausting cash or ignoring maintenance.
