Waterpark Simulator Research Guide

Plan Waterpark Simulator research around current prerequisites, park needs, Museum branches, and versioned evidence instead of old balance values.

Research controls which Waterpark Simulator options become available as a park grows. The current Steam achievement list confirms an all-research completion goal, while developer discussions from an older build describe star-gated research and an activity-to-point conversion. Those old replies establish the system’s history, not the exact balance of public version 1.0.

Use the live research interface to document prerequisites, costs, and branches. A good unlock order solves the park you actually operate rather than reproducing a generic sequence.

Capture the current research board

Open the research screen and take a baseline screenshot. Record the semantic game version, difficulty, map, park prestige, available points or currencies, locked nodes, and any prerequisite lines shown.

Do not simplify different resources into one number. Version 1.0 also adds Museum quest currencies for Aztec, Sea, and Pirate branches. If the interface displays a separate icon or source, preserve that distinction.

Repeat the capture after a star increase, completed quest, or patch. This reveals which condition changed without relying on memory.

Treat older point formulas as historical

An older developer reply described 100 activity XP per research point. The audit explicitly marks that value as requiring a version 1.0 validation. Do not present it as a current rule until a controlled public-build test or CayPlay documentation confirms it.

If you test earning behavior, start from a known displayed balance and perform one defined activity. Record the before and after screen, mode, version, and any other progress that occurred. Repeat before claiming a conversion.

Even a confirmed result can change with a balance patch. Date the observation and keep the old number in a history note rather than silently carrying it forward.

Choose unlocks by current bottleneck

List the park’s next three needs: for example, improving an attraction zone, supporting guest service, opening a planned build, or advancing a verified branch. Compare available research against those needs.

Select the unlock with an immediate test plan. After purchasing, place or use the feature in a small area and observe whether it solves the bottleneck. An unlocked object that sits unused has not improved the operation.

Keep enough park cash for construction and service. Research availability does not guarantee that the park can afford or maintain the resulting build.

Read dependencies before spending

Follow visible connecting lines, star requirements, and currency labels. If a desired node is locked, work backward through the current prerequisites rather than buying unrelated items and hoping it appears.

Create a short dependency record with node name, required prestige, parent node, resource, and current status. Only include fields actually displayed. The audit did not capture a complete public-build tree, so this page does not fabricate one.

The stars guide covers prestige improvement. The Museum guide explains how three questlines feed their respective theme systems.

Keep standard and theme research distinct

CayPlay says the Museum opens three research branches: Aztec, Sea, and Pirate. Each is associated with one questline and its own currency, and each ends in a massive slide.

Record branch progress separately. Do not spend one branch’s observed currency in a table for another or assume equal costs. The live icon, NPC context, and research panel should agree before you label an unlock.

For physical planning, the theme building page shows how to reserve space without guessing the final slide footprint.

Test an unlock in a controlled area

Save before buying a major node. After purchase, verify that the item or capability appears where the current interface says it should. Place one example if appropriate and check access, guest use, maintenance, and cost.

If the unlock fails to appear, confirm filters, branch, map, and prerequisite status. Restart the interface or game only after preserving the before-and-after evidence. Do not repeatedly spend resources trying to force a state change.

In multiplayer, coordinate purchases so two players do not interpret the same balance independently. Official 1.0 notes confirm group play but not research permissions or simultaneous-purchase handling.

Work toward all research without wasting a save

Steam lists Nothing Left to Learn for unlocking all research on Normal or Hard. Keep the save’s difficulty clearly identified and use the live tree to find remaining locked nodes.

Finish ordinary park dependencies first, then branch-specific quests and currencies. Check for nodes hidden by filters or off-screen layout before assuming progress is bugged. A current screenshot is essential if you request support.

Do not infer that Sandbox research or a converted save qualifies. The public wording names Normal or Hard, and the audit did not verify conversion eligibility.

Maintain a versioned record

After a release, compare the names, connections, costs, and prerequisites of representative nodes. Update only what current evidence changes. The stable guide should explain how to read and test research; a volatile appendix can hold dated values once verified.

Research advice remains trustworthy when every exact figure has a version, mode, and source, and every recommended unlock has a reason tied to the park.
