Waterpark Simulator 1.0.48 Patch Notes

Understand Waterpark Simulator 1.0.48 changes to staff quitting, multiplayer pool movement and lobby security, accessibility controls, placement limits, and fixes.

Waterpark Simulator 1.0.48 was a post-launch stability and rules patch released on August 7, 2026. Its most useful player-facing changes clarified when staff can quit, added accessibility switches for two disruptive systems, improved multiplayer object handling and friends-only safeguards, and fixed several progression and interface problems.

Version 1.0.48 is no longer current. The public branch reached 1.0.50 on August 11. Use this page to identify when a behavior changed, not as a recommendation to remain on the older build.

Staff and accessibility changes

Staff should no longer quit on Easy or Sandbox difficulty. Players on other difficulties can disable Staff Quitting in Accessibility settings. Version 1.0.48 also added an accessibility option to disable NPC retaliation.

These controls matter when diagnosing an employee departure. First confirm the save’s difficulty and both accessibility settings. If a worker quits on Easy, Sandbox, or with quitting disabled while running 1.0.48 or later, preserve the save and report the exact conditions.

The NPC-retaliation option reduces one category of hostile interaction; it is not a claim that every quest or disruptive event disappears. Version 1.0.50 later reduced the chance of the Saboteur appearing rather than removing that system.

Multiplayer changes

The patch fixed pool movement with water blobs so that all players, not only the host, can move the pool. This is a specific client-action correction and should not be generalized into a rule that every build or quest action is identical for host and client.

Version 1.0.48 also added safeguards against a player spoofing a friend’s Steam identity to enter a friends-only host. CayPlay improved those safeguards again in 1.0.50. Keep every player on the current public branch and still use restrictive host permissions on a valuable park.

If a co-op behavior differs, record who hosted, which player acted, the permission settings, and whether the lobby was created after updating. Recreate it once before deciding that the patch did not apply.

Building, interface, and progression fixes

The official notes include a placement limit per second. This is a stability or abuse-control boundary, not a published performance target. If rapid placement stops accepting objects, slow down and verify whether ordinary construction works before reporting a broken build menu.

The patch corrected a tooltip issue at 1440×1080 resolution. It also fixed a three-star pool problem and a hammer sound that could play globally. These narrow fixes are useful diagnostic markers: a remaining issue should include the exact pool, tool, resolution, and current semantic version.

Do not assume every three-star progression issue was resolved by this one fix. Use Park Stars to separate rating requirements, tasks, and unlock gates.

What players should check after updating

Staff still quit

Confirm Easy or Sandbox difficulty, or enable the Staff Quitting accessibility option. Capture both screens if the behavior repeats.

Client cannot move a blob pool

Create a fresh current-version lobby, confirm the affected player is a client, and test one low-risk pool away from valuable builds.

Friends-only lobby has an unknown player

Update to 1.0.50, preserve lobby evidence privately, restrict permissions, and report through CayPlay’s support route.

Rapid placement stops

Return to normal placement speed and test a single object. Do not use macros to push against the official per-second limit.

Version scope and saves

The patch applies to the Steam base game, AppID 3293260. The Demo is a separate product, AppID 3730180, with its own update and one-way save boundary. Do not use a Demo version label to diagnose base-game multiplayer or staff behavior.

Back up an important park before reproducing any staff, quest, or multiplayer bug. Version 1.0.48 changed rules but did not publish a migration guarantee for every save state. Record the semantic version displayed by the game; a raw Steam BuildID is not a substitute.

1.0.48 answers

Does staff quit on Easy or Sandbox?

It should not from version 1.0.48 onward. An accessibility control can disable quitting on other difficulties as well.

Did the patch add a way to disable NPC retaliation?

Yes. CayPlay lists an Accessibility setting for NPC retaliation.

Can clients move pools with water blobs?

Version 1.0.48 says all players can move them. Test in a newly created current-version lobby if an older session behaves differently.

Is 1.0.48 the latest version?

No. Version 1.0.50 was published on August 11, 2026.
